"I still hold that it is the main earthly business of a human being to make his home...
as symbolic and significant to his own imagination as he can;
whether the home be in Notting Hill or Nicaragua, in Palestine or in Pittsburgh."-G.K.Chesterton, "The Artistic Side"

August Picnic & Meeting of the WPACS

You and yours are invited to attend a WPA Chesterton Society Picnic, Saturday August 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Lancaster Township Community Center and Picnic Pavilion.
Our August WPACS meeting and discussion of "The Ballad of the White Horse" will be part of the picnic. There will NOT be a meeting on Thursday August 11th.
This will be a "Bring for Yourself and Share" event. You will need to bring any meat items ( use of a charcoal grill will be available) , picnic ware (paper products are OK), and lawn chairs that you might desire for yourself and your crew. You should also bring side dishes or desserts and beverages to share. We will have full use of the facility, including the kitchen in the basement, the main meeting hall, the picnic tables, pavilion and playground outside, and the ball field. We'll pray for nice weather but have the shelter of the pavilion and the building as a back up! Send an email to chestertonwpa@zoominternet.net if you have questions or need more information.
Hope to see you there!
